Tonight I recorded a radio show with Neil Haley, “The Total Tutor” (totaltutor.net) and we talked about TIME. The audio of this broadcast will be coming soon. In the meantime, here are the points that were made in regards to TIME.

– Take a Time Out of your business, chores, entertainment, media and whatever else gets in your way. Take that time to connect with your children while you still have them around to connect with them.

– Invest in the relationship through hearing your child and understanding the needs they are expressing. It is important to listen in to what your child is telling you. Sometimes that is in a non-verbal way…especially if you child is younger than three years old!

– Meeting the needs that your child is expressing and meeting your child at their level. Get down on your child’s level and get interested in what they are interested in. It is important that we can understand where they are coming from and what they enjoy doing!

– Empowering! Parents being empowered allows your child to be empowered! This is leading by example. If we want to have children that embrace significance we have to understand and know our own significance. In a success driven world it is important to understand our significance and that it does not come from what we do, it comes from who we are!
